姜晚晴梦到未来被孟家抛弃、病死的惨状，醒来发现现实已现危机。她反击孟家，在宴会上让王玉兰出丑，揭露孟阳盗用设计图使其失业。孟阳利用姜父阻止离婚，姜晚晴设计让孟阳出轨被抓。最终，姜晚晴拿出离婚协议，卖掉房子，摆脱孟家，迈向新生活。。The film is based loosely around events in December 1995 that culminated in the murders of three drug dealers in Rettendon, Essex, UK. On 6th December Patrick Tate, Craig Rolfe and Tony Tucker, three drug dealers well known to the police, were lured to Workhouse Lane, Rettendon.
