本作は、朝賀庵がヤングマガジンで連載していたマンガをもとにした“凄絶ラブサスペンス”。主人公は20代半ばにして成功体験がなく、自分に自信がない、真面目だけが取り柄の桜庭陽真だ。彼の幼なじみ・犬飼秀司はスポーツ万能、成績優秀、容姿端麗。陽真はあらゆる場面で秀司と比べられてきたため、卒業後に秀司としばらく会わなくなってからも、その劣等感にさいなまれていた。そんなある日、陽真は高校時代に憧れていた美女・犬飼麗香と再会する。しかし、秀司と結婚して東京に住んでいるはずの彼女が現れたのには、ある秘密が。そして秀司とは連絡が取れなくなってしまうのだった。。In 1962 an unknown group from Liverpool entered Abbey Road Studios to record their debut single.
