達悟族青年黃志遠（湄巴納），與錄音師阿飛回到故鄉蘭嶼採集大自然的聲音，因緣際會和美術老師安安結識。很多年輕人的夢想，是到外面世界去冒險，而這些人的夢想卻是留在家鄉，留在這個屬於海洋、屬於飛魚、屬於達悟人的家鄉──「人之島」。張作驥的副導演王金貴首度執導的電影，在壯麗的景色中傳達出一種對土地的深切情感。。During the cold and rainy off-season a man arrives in a seaside town and, giving his name only as Pierre, checks into the only hotel which remains open. His arrival arouses curiosity and a degree of suspicion, as people note that he appears to know the area, yet gives no explanation for his presence at that bleak time of year in the dead-end town.。
