该剧是根据宁津县已故作家郭澄清的著名长篇小说《大刀记》改编的。《大刀记》是我国唯一一部描绘鲁西北平原地区抗日战争的长篇小说，也是“文化大革命”时期出版并广泛流传至今的唯一一部抗日题材的文学作品，它体现的是“群众是真正的铜墙铁壁”。。A brother and sister move into an old seaside house they find abandoned for many years on the English coast. Their original enchantment with the house diminishes as they hear stories of the previous owners and meet their daughter (now a young woman) who now lives as a neighbor with her grandfather.
